Psycho Thrills is Cicada’s third single lifted from their latest album Roulette. The album was issued on 8 June. The previous two singles promoting the album were Falling Rockets and Metropolis.

Mariah Carey’s new album will be sponsored by the Bahamian Tourist Board. 
Mariah is the pioneer in this form of music marketing. This will be the brand new way to cover the expenses of recording the album. Mariah’ s new album cost almost 4 million dollars. The first single is Obsessed, and the album will be out on 28 September.

Tina Turner toured the world in 2008. This was to celebrate the anniversary of her 50 years on the stage. The Queen of Rock’n’Roll repaid her fans by visiting 10 countries. The tour started in Kansas in October 2008 and lasted 6 months. Tina played 60 sold out gigs. All of them ended with a standing ovation from the audience. Tina mesmerized her fans by being in such a fantastic condition. She is not going to slow down despite her imminent 70th birthday. To mark her tour a CD and DVD will be released on 28 September. 

ALEXANDRA BURKE’S 

DEBUT ALBUM

Alexandra Burke is the winner of last year’s XFactor. Alexandra will give us her debut album. The album is not yet titled and is due for release on 26 October. The first single to be lifted from the album is already playlisted, Bad Boys featuring FloRida. The single will be out on 12 October. 

AIR’S NEW ALBUM

Air’s new album Love 2 will be out on 5 October. This will be the follow up to their highly aclaimed 2007 Pocket Symphony. Love 2 will also be the band’s first project recorded at Atlas – a modern recording studio owned by the duo. 

NORAH JONES’ NEW PROJECT

Norah’s new as yet untitled album was produced by Jacquire King. All of the songs were written by Norah in the last two years. Some of them were co-composed by Ryan Adams, Will Sheff of Okkervil River fame, and Jesse Harris. This will be Norah’s fourth studio album. Out in November. 

WHITNEY HOUSTON 

HAS COME BACK

Whitney Houston’s new album came out on 31 August. I Look To You is Whitney’s seventh studio album and is promoted by two singles, I Look To You in the USA and Million Dollar Bill everywhere else. During the recording the mega-star Whitney worked with her long time friend, mentor and producer Clive Davies. She also involved NeYo, Akon and Swizz Beatz - top producers of the current generation.

BOOTY LUV ONCE AGAIN

Booty Luv’s new single Say It was released on 31 August. The single is in advance of the duet’s second album which will be out later this year. Cherise Roberts and Nadia Shepherd come from the hip-hop band Big Brovaz. They have performed as Booty Luv – an act created by Hed Kandi – since 2006.

IAN CAREY’S NEW HIT

Get Shaky is Ian Carey’s new single released in the UK. Ian is an American DJ and producer who was dissapointed with the American dance scene and moved to the Netherlands. He produced many tracks which became hits both in Europe and in Australia. Get Shaky got to Number 9 in the UK Chart.

Noah and The Whale’s second album was issued on 31 August. The album The First Days of Spring is critically acclaimed and is reckoned to be better than their excellent debut album. It was preceded by the two singles The First Days of Spring and Blue Skies.

Leona Lewis was nominated for 4 Brit Awards and 3 Grammys. She also sold more than 6 million copies of her debut album Spirit. Leona is going to come back with her new album Echo to be released on 16 November.

The King of electro house – Felix Da Housecat’s new album was issued on 24 August. The album He was King is Felix’s fourth studio album and is promoted by two singles, Kickdrum and the brand new We All Wanna Be Prince. Felix also co-works with the biggest pop stars. He remixed songs of Madonna, Britney and Kylie.

THE COMEBACK OF ROCK GENIUSES

The Resistance is the title of new album of the geniuses of Brit Rock – Muse. This is one of the most anticipated albums of 2009. The album will come out on 14 September. The first single lifted from the album will be Uprising which will be released a week before the album. Matt Bellamy and Co’s new album has been already critically acclaimed.

Imogen Heap’s new, long awaited album was released on 24 August. Imogen is the cult electro/synth/pop vocalist who’s songs are regularly used in adverts. Her new album Ellipse contains 13 new tracks. They are similar to her previous songs such as Headlock, Goodnight & Go, and Just For Now. The album is full of strange beats and surprising effects. The first single lifted from the album is First Train Home. 

NEW PROJECT FROM THE CRANBERRIES’ EX-VOCALIST

Dolores O’Riordan, The Cranberres ex-vocalist, released her new album on 24 August. No Baggage is Dolores’ second solo album and is preceded by the single The Journey. It is rumoured that The Cranberries are planning to get back together soon. 

MIKA – THE COME BACK OF THE GOLDEN BOY OF POP

Mika’s second, long awaited album will be issued on 21 September. Most of the songs from The Boy Who Knew Too Much were recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Gregg Wells. The album will be preceded by the single We Are Golden. 

MASTERS OF CHILL OUT ARE COMING BACK

The Kings of downtempo Zero 7 are coming back after a three year break. Their fourth album Yeah Ghost will come out on 14 September. Eska Mtungwazi sang on most of the numbers on the album.

British indie rock band The Cribs have just finished their new album. Ignore The Ignorant is going to be their fourth project and will be out on 7 September. The first single to be lifted from the album is Cheat On Me.

NEW PROJECT FROM DIRE STRAITS’ LEADER

Mark Knopfler is going to release his fifth solo album in this decade. The project was recorded in London’s British Grove Studios. During the recording Mark was supported by his long time collaborators Chuck Ainlay and Guy Fletcher. The album Get Lucky will be a combination of blues and folk with Mark’s personal lyrics based on his memories. Out on 11 September.

Little Boots has made it to the UK Top 10 with her brand new single Remedy. The single promotes her debut album simply called Hands. Little Boots is reckoned as one of the hottest new British acts.

Kasabian have just released a second single from their latest album. Where Did All The Love Go comes from their critically acclaimed album West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum. The album went straight to Number 1 on the British Album Chart.

Calvin Harris is currently one of the most popular British DJs. His second album Ready For The Weekend came out on 17 August. Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel will be Mariah Carey’s new album. The R’n’B mega star’s album will be issued on 14 September. The first single to be lifted from the album is Obsessed produced by Mariah, The-Dream and Tricky Steward. The trio produced the majority of the album. Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel will be Mariah’s 12th studio album and a successor to last year’s, multi-platinum E=MC² and 2005’s Emancipation Of Mimi which sold more 10 milion copies worldwide. 

ANOTHER SUCCESS FOR CHICANE

The album The Best Of Chicane was released on 27 July. The album features Chicane greatest hits and famous collaborations such as Don’t Give Up with Bryan Adams, Saltwater with Moya Brennan and Stoned In Love with Tom Jones. Chicane has another reason to be happy. After a few years absence from the British Charts his new single Poppiholla entered the Top 10. Poppiholla is a dance version of a Sigur Ros’ song.

Following the lead of his band mates, Julian Casablancas has recorded a solo album. Julian has just finished his project Phrazes For The Young. MADONNA – THE QUEEN OF POP WILL COME BACK

Madonna’s brand new single Celebration will be premiered worldwide on radio on 3 August. The single will promote Madonna’s new album of the same title, which will be a compilation of her biggest hits. The album will contain another brand new track Revolver. Little Boots debut album Hands achieved success in the UK where it entered the Album Chart at Number 5. On account of that Elektra Records, an American division of Little Boots’ record company Warner Music, is planning to release Hands in USA in 2010. Robert M’s new video has been produced. The video was made to illustrate the second single Latino lifted from his latest album Taxi. The video was produced by Grupa 13 who also filmed his previous video Free. They filmed a lot of edgy scenes but the sad thing is that the video is only available in a clean version. Maxwell’s long awaited new album BLACKsummers’night debuted at Number One on Billboard’s Top 200. The same thing happened to his album Now in 2001. Now is reckoned to be the one of the most important albums of neo-soul.

Above & Beyonce is a special double album which was issued in the USA only. The double album contains a CD with remixes of her current singles such as Halo, Diva, If I Were a Boy, and the brand new American single Ego, featuring Kanye West. The second disc is a DVD containing videos of the songs from Beyonce’s latest album I Am…Sasha Fierce. The cult video Single Ladies is also on it – a must have.

Nicholas Bracegirdle known as Chicane is going to release his Best Of compilation. The album will come out on 27 July and will contain Chicane’s greatest tracks such as Don’t Give Up, Saltwater, and Offshore. The album is promoted by the single Bruised Water which is a combination of Chicane’s Saltwater and Natasha Bedingfield’s I Bruise Easily.

Fever Ray’s third single will be issued in the UK on 20 July. The song Triangle Walks comes from her excellent album simply called Fever Ray. VV Brown’s debut album Travelling Like The Light was released on 13 July. The album was critically acclaimed. VV BROWN’S DEBUT SINGLE

Vanessa Brown known as VV Brown has debuted with the single called Shark In The Water. VV was the support act to a lot of famous artistes notably Amy Winehouse during her 2007 tour. VV’s debut album Travelling Like a Light will be out on 13 July.

Maxwell has come back with his new album BLACKsummers’night which was released on 6 July. The album was produced by Maxwell together with his long time collaborator Hod David. The album is promoted by the single Pretty Wings. Maxwell has sold more than 6 million copies of his albums worldwide so far. Regina Spektor’s fifth album will be out on 22 June. The album will be called Far. Some reviews say it is going to be Regina’s best album so far. Regina was born in the Soviet Union which she left with her family in 1989. She then moved to the USA where she started her professional career.

Columbia Records announced the comeback of the British King of modern soul. Maxwell’s new album BLACKsummer’snight will be released on 6 July. BLACKsummer’snight is the first part of Maxwell’s trilogy called BLACKSUMMERS'NIGHT. The further volumes will be blackSUMMER’Snight and blacksummer’sNIGHT. They will be released in 2010 and 2011 respectively.

GOSSIP WILL SHAKE THE MEN'S WORLD

The Gossip’s brand new album Music For Men will come out on 22 June. The project has been produced by the famous producer Rick Rubin. The music of the Gossip is a mixture of soul, gospel, rock, funk, disco, punk, passion and rebelion. The world heard about them for the first time in 2006. The main reason was their excellent single Standing in the Way of Control. The other reason was Beth Ditto who threw convention out of the window. She also has an excellent, unique, and strong voice. The first single taken from the album is Heavy Cross.

WHITNEY HOUSTON 

THE RETURN OF THE QUEEN OF SOUL

The queen of pop soul and one of the mega stars, Whitney Houston will come back with her brand new album after more than a seven year break. The album will be out on 31 August. The album’s title has not yet been revealed but is rumoured to be Undefeatable. Whitney is the most awarded artists ever. She received more than 411 awards including 6 Grammys. She also sold more than 170 million records and DVDs. 

PIXIE LOTT - A TEENAGER WITH A FUTURE

Mama Do is the first single of the very talented Pixie Lott. Eighteen year old Pixie signed her record deal with Island Def Jam Music Group (Universal Music) when she was just fifteen. The song Mama Do precedes her debut album Turn It Up which will be released on 7 September.

DEBUT OF THE MULTI - INSTRUMENTALIST LITTLE BOOTS

Little Boots new album was out on 8 June. The album Hands contains the current single New In Town. Little Boots comes from Blackpool was named as the sensation of the British electro scene. She began her musical journey at the age of 5 when she started playing piano. She wrote her first songs when she was only 13. 

KASABIAN'S FIREY COMEBACK

Kasabian are the heretics of the British rock scene. They are the rebels of XXI century but with romantic hearts. The new album, which is their third, was released on 8 June. The album The West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum is a combination of energetic melodies, electro-punk riffs, symphonic arrangements in a style of Ennio Morricone, and psychodelic lullabies. The album is promoted by the single Fire which became a huge hit in the UK. It reached Number 3 in the UK Singles Chart. 

MOBY RECORDED HIS NEW ALBUM AT HOME

Wait For Me is the title of Moby’s brand new album. The whole project was written and recorded at Moby’s home. He worked on it for more than a year. Moby describes the album as „calmer, more melodic and melancholic”. He reckons that wait For Me „is more personal than his previous songs”. Out on 29 June.

A BRILLIANT ALBUM FROM PATRICK WOLF

Patrick Wolf’s new album was premiered on 1 June. The Bachelor was released under Wolf’s label after the partition of his contract with Universal Records. The album is probably the best of his career. It is a mature project, conceptual and full of great melodies. The Bachelor confirms his place at the head of the most intriguing and interesting artists of past few years.
